PAPER DOCUMENT OR CERTIFIED ELECTRONIC COPY? 2020 amendments to the Government Decree 335/2005. 61. §. My study briefly reviews one of the most significant changes in terms of records management in 2020, which also brought significant novelties to the public bodies listed in Annexes 1 and 3 of the Government Decree, as well as to the public archives supervising their record management. On June 11, Government Decree 137/2019 (VI. 11.) was published in the Hungarian Gazette, which stipulated in the case of the relevant bodies that they are obliged to keep the original paper document of permanent value, if this is justified by the competent archives, and that they must request a declaration from the archive on the destruction of the original paper documents on a quarterly basis. The practical administrative and formal design of the procedure was left to the archives.
