THE POSSIBILITIES OF THEMATIC HISTORICAL RESEARCH AT THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF HUNGARY WORKSHOP CONFERENCE The National Archives of Hungary (NAH) held a workshop, titled Sources, Views,

and Analyzes on September 5, 2017 in order to coordinate scientific research.

Participants responded to the following key questions in 5-10 minute reactions: 1) What topic do you consider as possible base for a working group, 2) What kind of co-operation (in and outside of NAH) is this considered feasible; 3) What would be a ca. three-year program phases, 4) What kind of digital databases are important to build; 5) Are there any opportunities for sponsorship, external funding? In many cases, despite all the different approaches, every speaker emphasized the importance of thematic, problem-centered approach, common thinking and cooperation.
