The member institutions of the National Archives of Hungary created the Reformation 500 database by processing the Protestant documents in their custody. Thanks to the uniform descriptions of the excavated documents, Protestant documents in the county archives became searchable on a common surface. The paper, based on 18th century sources found in the database, addresses the main issues of the Counter-Reformation, collecting the county authorities generated sources into the following topics/groups: church use, religious practice, conversion, apostasy, ecclesiastical affairs and peregrination. The sources in the database are also document the changes that have been made in the wake of Joseph H’s grace order, especially the construction of the new churches. With the help of a database covering several counties, we can see the country-large processes of 18th century confessionalization.
