Baron Villani will arrive in Budapest to-morrow and will re­port in detail about the conference we had last night with Dr. Schober and Mgr. Seipel. 1 For the time being I should like to re­port the following: The basis of the negotiations is the second proposal con­cerning territorial questions (that is, without the salient in the triangle Glashütten-Felsőőr-Pinkaóvár): south west of Féltorony, through the Lake Fertő, Medgyes, a half-circle around Sopron, then a line starting at the hill Kreutzerwald and running parallel at a distance of 5-6 km..westwards to the Trianon line and rejoin­ing the latter at Pinkamindszent. As far as the salient of Felsőőr is concerned, I think we could come to an agreement in the course of the negotiations on an ethnographical basis in return for some compensation, for instance by narrowing down the 5-6 km. broad slice of territory or by abandoning the southern angle between the line Pinkaóvár-Pinkamindszent and the Trianon demarcation line right up to the point opposite to Pinkaóvár. 2 No. 584. 280/res.pol.
