Résumé Hungary's Relations with Its Southern Slav Neighbors after 2010 From the point of view of security and national policy, furthermore from economic aspects, it is a vital interest for Hungary to have peace, stability, democratic rule of law and economic prosperity in the Southern Slav region. Therefore, one of the most important aims of our foreign policy is to facilitate the strengthening of these processes and, in close connection to this, to promote the Euro-Atlantic integration of the region. The relationship of Hungary and the Southern Slav region has been characterized by both continuity and change. While the new government stood up firmly, undertaking even conflicts, to enforce the Hungarian interests, it aspired to have the relationships characterized by practical co-operation, which would not worsen their good relationship in case of problems. In this study, the author describes the existing and developing (political, economic, minority, cultural, and national defense) relations to Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia. The events expounded here also prove that these relations are not negatively affected by the fact, whether other political families are in or come to power in the neighboring countries. 56 Külügyi Szemle
