New'Course on Hungary in English At Case Western Reserve University

A new course on Cultural History of the Hungarian People Will be given in English at Case Western Reserve University in the second semester of the current academic year under the auspices of the Department of Slavic and East European Languages, in cooperation with the American Hungarian Studies Foundation. Academic credit for the course (3 hours' credit) will be given to those desiring it. The course will be given from early February till the semester's -end in May . . .

The lecturer in charge of the course is Dr. László Harangi (of the Department of History and Political Sciencé, Baldwin-Wallace College). The course will be taught at Case Western Reserve University twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, to 5*^5 P»M. The course will include the following:

A survey from the nomad times and the Magyar's conversion to Christianity, through.the renaissance, the reformation and Catholic revival and other periods, to today. An examination- - of Hungarian literature, music, theater, painting, and other

arts, also of medicine, the physical sciences, sports, crafts ...

culinary art, and other aspects. A look... at the ■ Hungarians in the United States and. Hungary's cultural cross-fertilization with the world at large.

Students not alone of Case Western Reserve University but also of other colleges in the area, as well as other interested persons, are invited to. enroll. The office of the CWRU Registrar or the secretary of the Department of Slavic and East European Languages will answer all the inquiries. '

Ugyancsak Clevelandból hallottuk, hogy a Cleveland State University-n nemrég megalakult egy magyar diákklub. Igazán érdekelne mindannyiunkat egy beszámoló ennek a klubnak a működéséről (esetleg kölcsönösen segíthetnénk is egymást!). Nos, ki ir nekünk beszámolót? --L.A.
