(the largest Hungarian Club o-f N.J.) has been serving the New Jersey Hungarian community -for almost 80 years in cultural, educational and social programs and has been the athletic center -for New Brunswick area residents. The aim o-f our organization is to preserve and perpetuate our Hungarian Heritage. This year we have established the "Hungarian-American Athletic Club Scholarship Fund“, to be -financed by social affairs, individual contributions and contributions -from business and industry. The scholarship awards will go to qualified students of Hungarian parentage at Rutgers State University. A raffle will be held and the drawing will be at our "Second Annual Scholarship Gala Ball" on March 7, 1992. For this worthy cause, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will contribute 2 airline tickets from New York to Budapest and Thermal Hotel of Budapest, Hungary will contribute room for 2 for 7 nights (including 4 buffet-breakfasts), a total value of over $7,000! This was possible by the efforts of Margaret Erdei of “Travel Guide", in Clark, N.J. Th ey al1 have our heartfelt gratitude for this most generous contribution, and we ask all of you to support these businesses. We need your help for our raffle to succeed! The purpose of the raffle is to raise funds for the scholarship. We know that, as a supporter of our club, you would want to participate in this worthy endeavor by purchasing the "raffle tickets" or making a contribution or both.
