Father Fuzer's first Pastorate was in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and, his second, in Roebling, New Jersey, where he served from 1950 to 1960. He was then reassigned as Retreat Master of the Franciscan Retreat House at DeWitt, Michigan, where he served from 1960 to 1970. Completing his assignment in 1970, he was then appointed Pastor of the St. Ladislaus R.C. Church in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Meanwhile, he had also become the Superior of the Hungarian Order of Franciscans in America.

While serving as Pastor of the St. Ladislaus R.C. Church in New Brunswick, New Jersey, he not only renovated his church completely, but also had it blessed by the visiting József Cardinal Mindszenty (1973). He also raised funds for the erection of a statue in honor of the great Hungarian Cardinal (1976).

Since 1984, when he was reassigned to serve the Holy Cross Hungarian R.C. Church in Detroit, Michigan, Father Julian Fuzer has devoted himself to spearheading a campaign for the canonization of József Cardinal Mindszenty. Meanwhile, he has also authored several books about the late Cardinal, as well as a four-volume manuscript entitled "A Priest among Immigrants and Refugees", and, still in manuscript form awaiting publication, "Liturgical Commentaries on Sundays and Weekdays" and a prayer book entitled "My God and My All".
