Box 132, Ligonier, Pennsylvania 15658 (Tel: 412-238-9244) By now, you have received the three past-due issues backlogged because of circumstances beyond our control. Now, with this June issue of the HUNGARIAN HERITAGE REVIEW, we have caught up with our regular monthly production/distribution schedule. You can rest assured that we will not permit such disruptions to happen again and that the HUNGARIAN HERITAGE REVIEW is alive and well! At this time, we must thank you — ONE AND ALL — for your letters and phone calls of sincere concern, your kind and generous offers of assistance, and your assurances of continued support. Such a heart-warming and spirit-lifting demonstration of concern for and endorsement of our efforts to help achieve a greater public understanding of and appreciation for our Hungarian Heritage bolstered our determination to carry out our “mission” come what may and, in doing so, show our respect for your confidence. It also imbued us with rock-like courage to face up to and meet the challenge of the incredible “monkey business” deliberately fabricated and orchestrated against us by certain elements in the hope of “doingus-in” — from without as well as from within — as the competitive threat they envision us to be their own vested interests. We, of course, have never been and will never be a competitive threat to anyone or to any organization. We have been doing and will continue to do “our thing”, while letting others do theirs. It is said that, if one is alert to it, some good can be found in the bad. We can bear witness to the fact that there is a lot of truth in this belief. For, in our particular case, we have emerged from the bad with a much “tighter ship” and more stronger than ever! PAUL PULITZER Executive Editor JUNE 1988 HUNGARIAN HERITAGE REVIEW 1
