o) Science on the Racial Problem

It is a scientifically proved fact that, between the races which nowhere exist in pure forms, there is no absolute biological difference,

(The use of the word ''race", as a technical term in this connection, is incorrect, the “races" being merely species, biological sub—groups of on? race, namely the race of the homo sapiens») This thesis was officially and publicly adopted in 1951 by the UNESCO after the expert opinion of outstanding scientists had been considered« Let us quote a sentence from the declaration embodying the opinion of the experts consul tedi "As far as our present knewledge goes, it is impossible to .prove that there were differ enced of intelligence or temperament between the "races’', such as could not be accounted for by their respective cultural environment s", 89)

Prom the biological point cf view, the differences of the so-called "racial" characteristics of the colour of the skin, the form of head, the colour of hair, etc, between the white Caucasian, Mongolian and Negroid, types are not particularly significant and constitute only a fraction of cur common human heritage* One cf the arguments for our invursal brotherhood, our ren>* bership in one large family, is furnished by human blood* is it is known, there is no Caucasian blood and that® is no Negro blood* The blood groups are identical in the whole hurra race* This lias the practical consequence, among others, that, for instance, in case of an emergency, a white settler, a hater and persecutor cf Negroes, can bo saved in a Capetown hospital by the transfusion of Negro blood or even by the transplantation of a Negro heart*

Science also studios the history of die racial problem and states that the modern form of the racial problem is a typical product of the New Age, a sad feature cf the pltiriformity which marks our modern life* It has become a practical problem by the effort to realise a subsidiary objective cf colonisation, that is, the extension of white exile to the whole world*. Per this reason one can demonstrate the inner connection between slavery aid. the racial problem and also between colonisation end racial disc riirdnat ion.« This connection, we believe, is properly reccgrRlryl in the report of the Working Group B of the Geneva World Conference on Ch.c ch and S.cciety when it xs stated; "At this moment of history xhe white ra.ee dominates the world eco> ncmically and politically* This domination prevents the development of au-s thentic human community in nations as well as on an international lev?l!!*^v
