X/'l ■ 2 The Couücil of the Northern Lutheran Church District came together in Budapest on December the 19th 1957 and acimowledgxng the laws of the state obligatory for herself, stated that without prejudice to the lawfulness of Bish­op Zoltán Tnróczy-’s election and bishop5s office expiring on December the 4th 1957, it regards ixa bishop of the Northern church district D.Dr, Lajos Vető, Zoltán Turóczy was thanked for his loyal fulfillment of his long bishop's serv­ice and the hope was uttered that Zoltán Turóczy5s service would be proved ef­fectual in the church further on- Tire council has confidence in his hishop ’ s service in advance and asks GodJs blessings on it. The Board of Council of the church district thanlo d ret. Bishop József Szabó for his services in the capaoity of deputy bishop and his efforts for the unravelling. Dr. Zoltán Lády, Inspect­or of the church district resigned of his inspectors office in the letter of the 14th December addressed to the Council of the church district. On January the 20th 1958 the church's committee came together which was leading the talks with the state . begun in November but abrupted later.
