The Hungarian Bible C uncil has the plan of publishing the books of the Old Testament in separate instalments, thereby giving an opportunity to the church members and particularly the experts of following the work with the criticism, so that the work of the revision, instead of being a matter merely of a small group, may really become the effort of the entire Hungarian Evangelical Christendom« There is a large and invisible congregation of believers that is constantly praying for this work. This brotherly concern is also expressed by the sending of gift parcels . containing food stuff from the country parishes. These gifts changed the common meals of the commission into real Christian love-feats-We praise God's grace for this work of revision. Back in those times when the Hungarian Evangelical Christendom was yet - as people say - "rich" and "free", it did not have the strength to carry the , responsibility for the Hungarian Bible alone, and had to rqly on the benevolence of a foreign society. Yet the inner renewal of the Hungarian Churches, since 1945,has tackled this problem too, giving thereby an evidence that the real church, also in the midst of a socialistic development, is being zealously and freely built. Soli Deo Gloria! Hungarian Church Press-11-THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE REFORMED GENERAL CONVENTUS The regular meeting of the General Conventus was held on May 15-18 in Budapest.
