Under this heading Bishop Albert Bereczky, president of the Hungarian Reformed General Conver.tus, wrote an important article in the official Gazette of the Church. In the introduction he says, that while the Christian to-day is perhaps willing to admit to be a sinner in need of redemption, but concerning the Church he is rather of the Catholic attitude. According to the Catholic Church, the Kingdom of God is identical with the interests of the "Church". It y;as the Reformation, that brought us out of this so-called "Church". The Church, which found its way back to the Gospel, proclaimes uncompromisingly the sovereign rule, the power, embracing everything, the perfect Holiness, the perfect Love, by pointing to the Lord Jesus Christ. Tills Church is not a raster, but, a servant. Not the v/orld is in debt to the Church for an; thing, but the Church is indebted to the world, since its Lord and master "came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many." It is not the Church that has anything to claim from the world, but it has rather obligations, debts to the world. "I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise."
