At this meeting Albert Bereezky was elected ecclesiastical president of the General Conventus,with only one dissenting vote among the secret ballots. Dr.Jene Balogh, chief superintendent became lay president. The two new vice-presidents of the Conventus are? Elemér Gyory, bishop, and Dr. Béla Szent­­péteri Kun, retired professor. Tho Conventus also dealt with the intended reform of the Church constitution. The replies _regarding the basic principles to be considered in making the constitution have come in from the presbiteriés. A committee has been appointed to draw up the new draft,which will be sent to the parishes for comments.Only after the approval of the. parishes will the final draft be sub­mitted to the Synod. The Conventus elected its representatives to the Joint Protestant Committee»accepted standard regulations for every Reformed Deaoonesso convent of the country,discussed the timely issues of ecclesiastical schools,further the training of minist­ers,new textbooks on religion,pensions for ministers,distribu­tion. of State subsidies,employment of women as theological pro­fessors, and other current business.
