Holttesté a Clayton temetkezési kápolnában ravatalozták fel s onnan ment végbe temetése kedden, ápr. 20- án délelőtt, a new brunswicki Szent László r. k. templomban megtartott gyászmise után a St. Peter temetőbe. Főt. Body J. Kapisztrán végezte a szertar­tást, Ft. Dohányos Domokos és Ft. Ferenczy Hippolit segédleté­vel. A koporsót Lampért István és Iván János (Szt. Imre Herceg Egylet), Szabó Bálint és Id. Si­mon Ádám (Verhovay S. E.) Szűr Sándor és Gál Ferenc (Szt. Név Társulat) vitték s a kopor­só mellett haladtak Gerencsér Imre és Szabó Imre is mint az elhunyt régi-régi jóbarátai és munkatársai. Részvétteljes, szép nagy temetése volt, tagtársai, barátai, jóismerősei megadták neki valóban a végtisztességet... Közeli és távolabbi vidékről ott voltak a virággal borított rava­talnál és a temetésen mindazok, akik tisztelték és szerették Id. Puskás Sándort. . . Béke poraira! Outstanding achievement marks the four years that Mayor Flynn has spent as Perth Amboy’s chief official. He has conducted himself with dignity and good taste, lie has run his department economically, fairly and al­ways whole-heartedly in the public’s interest. Under his administration, the Department of Public Af­fairs has served the people well. Through his depart­ment has originated much of the pension and life insurance protection for city employes, as well as the Civil Service System, under which they now work. Mayor Flynn has been in­strumental in pushing sound Civilian Defense plans. His department has made itself available to veteians’ prob­lems, as well as to the poor and needy of the City. He has been one of the strongest advocates of adequate hous­ing for low and middle in­come groups. It was in con­junction with his department that the first slum clearance and redevelopment projects were started in the City. He is married to the for­mer Estelle Wodzinski; and the couple has three soils, James J. 2nd, Dennis S. and Brendan. The family are communi­cants of St. Mary’s R. C. Church. Mayor Flynn is a member of a formidable list of or­ganizations, including the Elks, of which he is a past Exalted Ruler, and former treasurer; the Exempt Fire­men’s Association, Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, Ancient Order of Hibernians, Raritan Yacht Club, Loyal Order of Moose, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Redmen, Pocahontas, Royal Arcanum, Perth Amboy Maenor & Damenchor, Woodmen of America, Holy Name So­ciety of St. Mary’s Church. OR. RICHARD M. BUDNICKI Dr. Richard M. Budnicki has all ehe qualifications necessary for competent, hon­est and forceful public serv­ice. A dentist by profession, he has served in the Army and is the product of a fam­ily with a record of over a half-century of service to Perth Amboy. His grandfather, Anton Du­­schock, was one of the very first Poles to settle in Perth Amboy, coming here from Philadelphia in 1880. Later, his uncle was to be one of the founders of the present St. Stephen’s Parish. His brother is Dr. Xavier Budnicki, a local physician. Two sisters are prominent in the school system: Irene Bud­nicki is principal of School No. 5 and Wanda Budnicki is an art teacher at the Gram­mar School. In addition, three local physicians, Dr. Joseph Gatowski, Dr. Ed­ward Duschock and Dr. Mat­thew F. Urbanski, are his cousins. He is a hard worker, a life­long Democrat, has a pleas­ing personality, is a good family man, a church-goer, and a man of high personal integrity. Born in this city, on Nov. 15, 1923, Dr. Budnicki at­tended local grade schools and high school. He attended Fordham University for his undergraduate study and re­ceived his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery from Georgetown University Den­tal School in 1949. In 1950 he enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Army , of Occupation in Germany for two years, with the rank of captain. He is married to' the for­mer Lorraine Strong and the father of three children, Irene, 2%; Lorraine, one year, and Richard, one month. The family lives at 728 Mary Ave. He is also a member of Post No. 45 of the American Legion and a communicant of St. Stephen’s R. C. Church. STEPHEN P. MIHALKO Commissioner Stephen P. Mihalko is perhaps a perfect illustration of the quiet, con­servative, but tireless public servant. Under his guidance, the De­partment of Parks and Public Property has expanded rec­reational activities, offered youth new playgrounds and equipment, conducted an an­nual Soap-Box Derby, and presented holiday programs He has distinguished him­self by his gentlemanly con­duct at commission meetings —and in a more practical way, by his common-sense approach to the everyday problems which are common to a de­partment of its size. He is a graduate of Ohio University, from which he holds a Bachelor of Arts de­gree. He also attended Rutgers University. He is married to the former Edna Wujciska and is the father of three children: Ca­mille, Claire and Bernard. The family are devout parishion­ers of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. He is an officer and trus­tee of St. Michael’s Parish, a member of St. Michael’s Holy Name Society, a member and supreme treasurer of the St. George Greek Catholic Hun­garian Union Branch No. 1 and a member of its board of directors. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Lions Club, the Elks, and a former president of the Perth Amboy Fire Department’s Holy Name Society. He is president of the George B. Mc­Clellan Engine Co. No. 3 and a member of the Relief Asso­ciation of the Perth Amboy Fire Department. He is a member of the board of direc­tors of the Perth Amboy-Car­­teret Chapter American Red Cross, and a member of the board of directors of the Perth Amboy Area Community Chest of which he is president for the year 1954. He has been active in the Heart Fund Drive, the Polio Drive, the Cancer Drive; he is a member of the National Conference of the Brotherhood of Christians and Jews, a member of the Lib­erty Bell Committee, and of the 5th Ward Democratic Club, which he has served as secre­tary-treasurer for the past 18 years. ERNEST M. MUSKA Ernest M. Muska is an ex­cellent example of the high calibre young man available to government today. His fam­ily is steeped in tradition of service to city and country. His father, Michael R. Muska, now deceased, was a It. detective in the Perth Am­boy Police Department and served long and honorably. A brother, Albert P. Muska, was lost while serving as a major in the Air Force in World War II. Muska himself is no stranger to combat. He was attending Fordham University at the time of his enlistment in the United States Army. Like so many of fiis generation, Muska spent grueling months in Africa and Europe fighting this country’s enemies. He served with the famous 86th (Blackhawk) Division, and earned the rank of sergeant, no mean feat with this hard­­fighting infantry unit. Honorably discharged, he re­turned to his schooling and won a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in ac­counting from Fordham Uni­versity. He is currently em­ployed as an accountant with the California Oil Company. Soon after his return to this city from college, Muska plunged deeply into veterans’ service work. He is a mem­ber of the Veterans of For­eign Wars. He is a past com­mander of Holy Trinity Post No. 693, Catholic War Vet­erans, and a past 2nd vice commander of the Middlesex County Chapter, Catholic War Veterans. He is a past vice commander of the Perth Am­boy Vets Alliance; he is a member of the Disabled Ameri­can Veterans. A registered Democrat, Muska is a member of the Young Democrats of Perth Amboy, the 6th Ward Demo­cratic Club, and the Trinity Slovak-American Democratic Club. He is a member of St. George Catholic Club, a mem­ber of Our Lady of Fatima Men’s Guild, and a member of the Sokol Social Club. His mother is Sophia Muska. He has two brothers, John, and Francis X., who conduct a funeral business and is county coroner. ROOKY F. TÉRIG Rocky F. Terio is a self­­made man. He has come to his present position of prominence the hard way. Born in this city July 22, 1910, Rocky knew early in life that a hard battle lay ahead. He attended local parochial and public schools and night school to round out the educa­tion he knew was so vital. He began nis own painting and decorating business 25 years ago. Charity and civic improve­ment have always been upper­most in his multitudinous ac­tivities. He has devoted liter­ally years of his life to the Perth Amboy Fire Depart­ment. A communicant of Holy Rosary Church, ht was a trus­tee of the church from 1947 to 1949. He is a member and past president of the Mount Car­mel Society and a member and past president of the Holy Rosary Holy Name Society. He is a former city marshal, an active volunteer fireman, and vice president and ex-cap­­tain of Garfield Engine Co. No. 5. He is a member of the Perth Amboy Exempt Fire­men’s Association; a life mem­ber and delegate to the New Jersey State Exempt Fire­men’s Association; a member of the Perth Amboy Firemen’s Relief Association; a former chief of the Perth Amboy Fire Department; and a member and past president of the P.A. Fire Dept. Holy Name So­ciety. Besides membership in the Knights of Columbus, the Elks and other organizations too numerous to be listed herein, he is foundei and mainstay of the Rocky Terio Association, which each year has sponsored free trips to Yankee Stadium to hundreds of local children. A parent of two children himself, Rocky F. Terio has been unswerving in his devo­tion to youth work. He is a member of the executive board and vice president of the Rari­tan Council, Boy Scouts of America. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Perth Amboy Area Community Chest which numbers the Boy Scouts among its participat­ing agencies.
