at the Permanent Representation of the Slovak Republic to the EU, during the time of the first Presidency of the Slovak Republic of the Council of the EU. PUBICA KOPCOVA graduated from the Slovak University of Technology, Faculty of Chemistry and Technology in Bratislava. She conducted her post-graduate studies at the University of Agriculture, Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering. As a researcher, she started to work at the Slovak Academy of Science. Later she worked at the State Environmental Fund and the Ministry of Environment, where she gained rich experience with project financing in the field of water, e.g. waste water treatment, drinking water supply and sewage systems, waste management, air protection, nature conservation, science and research. Currently she works as the Director General at the Water Research Institute.
