Abstract: The authors carried out macro- and microelement tests of thermal water wells in two different and distant morphologic regions of Hungary. In this paper the results of these tests are evaluated from a hydrogeological point of view. In the first part we introduce and summarize the historical events and processes of establishing the wells sampled. Particularly we discuss the research history, the building in, discharge, and other main features of the wells. Introducing corresponding data we aimed to show the precedents of the state nowadays. In the second part we show the results of the macro- and microelement tests, compared them and evaluated from system dynamics aspect. It came out from the results that the microelement features of the two distant water horizon systems are significantly different. The hydrogeological conclusion drawn was that besides the common features of the systems the local factors and the different direction of flow had a main role in the development of the systems. DOBOS IRMA SCHEUER GYULA dr„euro- és gyémántdiplomás geológus. 1950-ben diplomázik a Szegedi Tudomány Egyetemen és itt dolgozik 1951-ig, majd a Magyar Állami Földtani Intézetben földtani térképező, 1954-től pedig a Tokodi Mélyfúró Vállalatnál a szénkutatást vezeti, 1958-tól a Vízkutató és Fúró Vállalatnál hidrogeológiai és tudománytörténeti kutatást végez. A Semmelweis Egyetemen 1997-től 15 évig, az ELTE-n 2005 óta meghívott előadó. dr., oki. geológus, a földtani tudomány kandidátusa (1984). 1955-ben szerzett geológus oklevelet, 1964-ben egyetemi doktorátust az Eötvös Loránd Tud. Egyetem Természettudományi Karán. Kandidátusi értekezésének témája: Budapest hévizei, illetve a Budai-hegység és a Gerecse édesvízi mészkő összletei. Szakmai működési területe: vízkutatás, hidrológiai vizsgálatok, mérnökgeológia, karbonátos forrásüledék.
