Tiszafüred, Hungary Abstract: Within the scope of the Hungárián Odonatological Database, data analysis regarding the morphometric traits, body mass and energy content has been carried out at the Department of Hydrobiology of the University of Debrecen. One population (Egyek: Nagy-fai-morotva, Marázs, Saruka) of aduit individuals of the dawny emerald dragonfly [Cordulia aenea (LINNÉ, 1758)], a rare species in Hungary, has been investigated. The deviations between different sexes and ages have been analyzed furthermore the relationship between the data of the morphometric traits, the body mass and the energy content has been found out. We alsó compared the body mass and the energy content of the adults of both sexes and different ages. Analyzing 15 morphometric traits, dry and wet body mass of adults we didn't find remarkable difference between neither sexes nor ages. The body mass increased by age but it didn't reflect in the changes of the morphometric traits. In case of the energy content the differences between the sexes were changed with the ages: the values of the old individuals were much bigger than the values of young ones. In case of young individuals the difference was small between the sexes but in case of old individuals the energy content of the females exceeded the values of males.
