Gödöllő Abstract: During the year 2005 we have carried out comparison fish-stock surveys in the, Kis-Balaton Water Protection Reservoir-I, in the shallow, eutrophic Lake Major (11 ha), used exclusively for angling. Seasonal, multipanel gillnet surveys were conducted for studying the fish species composition, size frequency distribution and standardised CPUE (Catch Per Unit Effort) - abundance, and CPUE - biomass. Parallel with gillnet surveys we carried out hydroacustic surveys with Simrard EK 60 type sonar, measuring the size frequency distribution and stock abundance and biomass. During our study we established regression relationship between the CPUE - abundance and - biomass, and between the hydroacustic abundance and biomass. Keywords: Hydroacoustic survey, CPUE-values, size frequency, abundance, biomass, Kis-Balaton, Lake Major. K l ossy Irén alkotása (Fametszet, Magyar tájak sorozat)
