6. szám - Csanády Mihály–Deák Zsuzsanna–Somló Lajos: Egyes fizikai és kémiai paraméterek szerepe vízvezetéki vizek másodlagos bakteriológiai szennyezettségében
CSANÄDY et. al.: A vízvezetéki víz másodlagos szennyezettsége 351 Key words: CSANÁDY MIHÁLY DEÁK ZSUZSANNA SOMLÓ LAJOS contrasted by the same data of the best counties (from this point of view) of Hungary: 8—13% (Table I.). The very vigorous network disinfection (85 mg/L chlorine dosage, 30 hours detention time) under usual operating conditions yielded only temporary improvement, where the chemical water quality was bad. Maintaining monehloramine level did not prevent the re-pollution ( Figure 1.). To improve the situation, water treatment: ammonium removal and/or considerable decreasing of organic materiül concentration seems to be necessary. Based on data gathered under usual operating conditions at many water works of the affected area, attempt was made to test the correlation between the main physical and chemical parameters (x values: temperature, ammonium, humin material, iron concentration, permanganate value) and the bacteriological pollution (v values), to make clear the role of the individual parameters. Among the investigated 82 variations (x —y couples) there were 25 cases, where the linear correlation coefficient (r) was higher, than 0,4; so in these cases loose or medium level correlation might be stated. The parameters and the corresponding r values are shown on Table 2. Some of them are also plotted on graphs ( Figures 2—5.). According to the data the temperature, the organic material (permanganate value, humic acids) and ammonium content correlated with the bacteriological contamination characterized by total plate count and presence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. There was stated correlation neither between the presence of coliform bacteria and any of the investigated chemical parameters, nor between the iron content and any of the bacterio logica 1 ] >ara i neters. The correlation stated was looser, than it was supposed, due to the inhomogenity of the data and the interfering effect of many, not quantified — and so not investigated in detail —technical parameters (e. g. operational conditions, ehlorination practice, method and extent of aeration). water quality deterioration, bacteriological pollution, organic materials, humic acids, ammonium, elevated temperature.
