226 HIDROLÓGIAI KÖZLÖNY 1986. 66. [ÉVFOLYAM 3. SZA M N-nek is. Ugyanis, az őszi-téli időszakban, amikor nincs növényzet és a beszivárgás dominál, ez a N alapvetően veszélyes a felszín alatti vizek szennyeződése szempontjából. A 2. táblázatból ezek az értékek kivehetők (Ns(t 0)—ANs). Összehasonlítva a csapadékadatokkal megállapíthatjuk, hogy sok csapadék esetén kevés, kevés csapadék esetén több N marad a talajban a tenyészidőszak végén, ugyanis a növény jobb vízellátással több iV-t tud felhasználni. » » • Szerző ezúton ia köszönetet mond a kutatásban résztvevő munkatársainak, Fehér János és Futaki Károly oki. mérnököknek a modell, ill. gépi programjának kidolgozásában való közreműködésükért, továbbá Kamarás Miklós ós Seidl Fidél oki. mezőgazdáknak a modell mezőgazdasági vonatkozású összetevőinek kimunkálásában való közreműködésükért. Kienitz Abstract: The pollution of surface/subsurface waters by nitrogen compounds is a significant environmental problem. Among possible sources of the former, those of agricultural origin are difficult to identify because of their non-point source nature, and because of their partly natural, partly human activities-dependent character. In the framework of an FAO project VlTUKI's researchers have carried out model investigations concerning the trade-off of water and nitrogen displaceable with water in the soil's upper layer, with the aim of determining measures protecting the aquatic environment. The elaborated DISNIT (DISplaceable NITrogen) model is a practical simplification of the soil's water/nitrogen cycle (Fig. 1) determining day by day the involved amounts. In this model infiltration is calculated in function of the soil's actual moisture content (Fig. 2), evapotranspiration with dimensionless characteristic et-curves attributed to individual plants (Fig. 3) which give actual values when multiplied by the yield-dependent total of the growing season's ET (Fig. 4); vegetal nitrogen consumption is determined as being proportional to the latter and to the growing season's total N-consumption (Fig. 5), the net balance of the soil's ingoing/outgoing natural N-supply is approached with a dimensionless characteristic curve (Fig. 6) which gives actual values through multiplication with the year's estimated total. The model is structured so as to account daily for the fate of water and nitrogen already present in the soil's rooting zone and for the amounts arriving there on the same day (Fig. 7). In the course of these calculations not only the natural events are taken into account, but also those which are influenced by, or are consequences of human activities, notably manuring and cultivation practices: the former by actual data on furtiiizer application, the latter by an ,,e" cultivation factor (having different values for slope-ploughing, contour-ploughing, subsoiling and farm management with stubble remains; Table I). The model has been run for sample plots, with ,,e" reflecting actual cultivation practices and in turn assumed higher level practices. The received results — such as shown in Fig. 8 and in Table II — have served to arrive at useful conclusions concerning the piling up and washing out of N compounds, thus promoting the planning of protection of the aquatic environment.
