HIDÁSZ ALMANACH 2005 Beharangozok Mailing of Final Invitation & starting of registration February 15, 2006 Deadline for receipts of papers February 28, 2006 Paper notification (on acceptance and type of presentation) April 15, 2006 Opening of the Symposium September 13,2006 IABSE Annual Meetings September 10-12, 2006 Symposium format The Scientific Program includes Plenary, Concurrent and Poster Sessions over two and a half days. At Plenary Sessions keynote speakers will present lectures on key Symposium topics. Concurrent sessions would take place in three meeting rooms. A further session will be a "BASAAR", following the recent order of IABSE symposia. Papers covering different themes and topics will be selected from abstracts submitted to the Scientific Committee. They will be presented orally or by poster. A commercial exhibition is planned at the Symposium venue. This offers a unique opportunity for companies to display their projects, products and services. Technical visit A half-day boat trip is planned to visit (from the river) the Danube bridges in Budapest as part of the Symposium, for all participants and accompanying persons. The construction of a new Danube bridge at Dunaújváros city, near Budapest, and of the longest viaduct of Hungary near Lake Balaton started in 2004 and the building of the Northern Danube Bridge on the MO Motorway in Budapest will be commenced soon besides some new structures and industrial projects in and near to Budapest.
