Place: Dobó Square In the Year of Gastronomy, the culture of wine-drinking as an important element of eating gets even greater emphasis in Eger, the home country of Bikavér, Bull's Blood. The event will be opened with a professional conference, during which wine-professional prizes will be awarded. Following the festive opening, gastronomical specialities served in the tents erected on Dobó Square will be awaiting guests. The most exclusive restaurants will be offering their special dishes together with their most complementary wines from the best cellars, including different vintages of Egri Bikavér. During this food- and wine-tasting and mealtime chatting, jazz, dixie, ragtime, and blues bands will entertain the audience. An outstanding event of the programme will be the inauguration of Saint Donát's statue in Donát Dűlő. Part of the rich programme is an exhibition of wine-labels.
