On the four level of the look-out we can see the region other and other way: Galyatető, Kékestető and the crossing roads of the Mátra, and last the lake laying below us Mátra Kemping ~ Sástó is situated between Mátrafüred and Mátraháza, it is a characteristic patch of colour of the Mátra Mountains. The camping is easily accessible by car or by bus from Gyöngyös on the route No. 24. The sights of the region, like Parádsasvár, Párád, Parádfürdő with its crystal and glass manufacture, then Mátrafüred and Mátraháza and Kékestető with the highest peak in Hungary can be reached easily, and excursions can be arranged to experience the places of interests. Well-indicated public footpaths lead to the most beautiful places of the Mátra, we can take a voyage by the forest-narrow-gauge in an intimate atmosphere. Reaching Gyöngyös we can watch a special ecclesiastical collections cared by the St. Bartholomew's church, we can view the Matra Museum, which is housed in Orczy castle and admire the 16,000 volumes, Franciscan Monument Library which is rich in incunabula. The camp site is open whole year, while with the tent- and caravan places, and wooden houses from spring to automn, till with the heated hotel rooms in the central building we are open in winter time as well, to provide a comfortable recreation even in winter for visitors who would like to experience the beautiful surroundings of the mountain Mátra.
