H U N G U E £T HOTEL FLORA EGER ★ ★ ★ THERAPEUTIC SECTION In the therapeutic section physicians' offices, rooms for massage, physicotherapy, parafango (hot pack), medical water pools, tangentor (underwater massage with a spout), bubble bath, sauna and solarium, as well as gyms for curative and conditioning gymnastics have been made. From the hotel building the guests can approach the therapeutic section through the passage on the first floor. The guest who use therapeutic treatment are examined by a rheumatologist and an internist. The patients get treatment cards, the dispatcher gives them the time and place of treatment, thus it is not necessary to wait. On the basis of the treatment cards the guests are given complex physicotherapeutic treatment (electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, thermotherapy, mechanotherapy, balneotherapy, phototherapy etc.). Experience and experiments show that the most optimal time for curing locomotor diseases is two to three weeks. In the massage room 4-6 employees carry out manual and machine massage (in the boxes built here according to the architectural plan). Favourable local and general effect of massage is well-known; one of the most important factors of its curative power is based on influencing the change in the tone of capillary vessels. Apart from capillaries dilatation of minor arteries and veins also takes place as a result of the massage, which favourably affects blood circulation, because the flow of venous blood to the heart is accelerated. A direct prosperous effect of the massage is primarily felt in muscles. The physicotherapy is located next to the massage room, where 8 separated boxes have been made. Treatment is carried out by one or two qualified assistants with the aid of stimulating, photo- and magnetotherapeutic devices (Myostim, Diadynamic, TENS, Pulsotron, Nervostat, infrared and quartz apparatuses, short wave diathermy, microwave, ultrasound, galvanic bath with four compartments, vacuum interferator). Physicotherapy is the most natural way of increasing the defensive, reactive and resistance capability of the organism, thus it has been gaining more and more ground in prevention, recovery and rehabilitation. Cryotherapy (treatment with cold stream of air) provisionally takes place in the physicotherapeutic room. Treatment with stream of cold air (otherwise known as cryotherapy) is done as follows: stream of air cooled down to less than 0 oC is for a short time (from several seconds to several minutes) directed to a certain, well located, surface of the skin. In the case of Crio5 the temperature of the cold air is nearly as low as -30 °C. Due to its antiphlogistic, pain-relieving and muscle relaxing effect cryotherapy can be used in various medical areas, among which functional rehabilitation may be mentioned as an example. In the tangentor rooms underwater massage is made with a spout of medicinal water. Treatments are given in bath-tubs if Hévíz type with the help of portable tangentors. Here the masseur's hands are substituted by a spout of different temperature and thickness. Reflective muscle tension arising due to pain is much weaker under the water, thus the massaging effect of the spout is considerably higher due to the reduced resistance of the muscles relaxed in the water. The main indications for this treatment are all kinds of distortions, post-traumatic haemorrhages, contusions of soft parts, abdominal complaints caused by postoperative adhesions etc. The time of each treatment is from 5 to 15 minutes. Taking into account the time required for cleaning and preparation the patients may follow each other every 20-25 minutes. Thus it is possible to ensure continuos turnover of patients at all times without having to separate them according to sexes. Bubble bath: it functions in bath-tub rooms next to the tangentor on the ground floor. It integrates the natural curative effect of water, warm air, oxygen (ozone), massage and biological additives. With its help blood circulation accelerates and, as has been proved, higher amount of oxygen has a curative effect on locomotor disorders, rheumatic and articular pains, calcification, detrition, myopathy, blood supply disorders, it tranquillizes the nervous system, reduces menopausal complaints and contributes to preserving liveliness and youthfulness. Parafango: pelotherapy combined with paraffin. Its advantages are: higher thermal efficiency, adaptation to the shape of the body, its being hygienic and aseptic. Indications: chronic spinal inflammation and extremital arthritis, arthrosis, spondylosis, muscle pains, injuries, after-treatment of postoperational state, pre-treatment of contractions. The contraindications are similar to those of medicinal water cure. The gymnasium on the second floor, suitable for doing exercises both individually and in groups, and the medicinal pool on the first floor serve for the purposes of rehabi I itational and conditioning curative gymnastics. The task of the curative gymnastics is with the help of appropriate exercises to restore the ability of the ill organism to perform and to improve its motility. Exercises, that increase the muscular strength, extend the limits of limb movements and improve co-ordination of the muscles, are used here. Exercises and methods used in kinesitherapy are in most cases based on the volitional muscular work of the patient. The equipment, that is necessary to do these exercises, is kept in the store-room belonging to the gymnasium. In the pool area there are two bathing pools with waveless water surface, one with the temperature of 32 °C and the other 36 °C, where 30 to 40 people may bathe simultaneously. The water of medicinal springs of Eger is used in these pools. The sauna is located next to the pool area. Sauna treatment is generally used for improving the condition of healthy people, for strengthening of blood vessels, relaxing of muscles, increasing the resistance of the organism, but it may alsooe justified for curing respiratory illnesses, chronic degenerative diseases and all those diseases where increasing of circulation is useful. The ultraviolet radiation of the solarium, if used in accordance with the instructions, stimulates pigmentation, hormone production, functioning of blood-forming organs, the strength of striated muscles, local metabolism and helps to kill micro-organisms. The sauna and the solarium may be used on your own responsibility (please read the list of indications and contraindications hung out in the rooms) H U N G U E ДТ HOTEL FLORA EGER ★ ★ ★ A GYÓGYÁSZATI RÉSZLEGRŐL A gyógyászati részlegen orvosi rendelők, masszázs; fizikoterápia, parafangó (melegpakolás), gyógymedencék, tangentor (víz alatti vizsugár masszázs), pezsgőfürdő, szauna, szolárium helyiségek, gyógytorna- illetve kondicionáló terem kerültek kialakításra. A vendégek a hotel épület felől az emeleti összekötő folyosón érik el a gyógyászati részleget. A gyógyászati kúrát igénybevevő vendégek mozgásszervi (reumatológiai és belgyógyászati vizsgálaton vesznek részt, melyet szakorvosok végeznek. A vendégek kezelőlapot kapnak, a diszpécser a kezelés időpontját és helyét megadja, így a várakozási idő elkerülhető. A kezelőlapok alapján komplex fizikoterápiás kezelésben (elektroterápia, hidroterápia, termoterápia, mechanoterápia, balneoterápia, fototerápia, stb.) részesülnek. Tapasztalatok és kísérletek alapján 2-3 hetes kezelés a legideálisabb a mozgásszervi betegségek kezelésére. A masszázs helyiségben 4-6 dolgozó (építészetileg kialakított boxokban) kézi és gépi masszírozást végez. Ismert a masszázs helyi és általános jó hatása, gyógyhatásának egyik legfontosabb tényezője a hajszálerek tónusváltozásának befolyásolásán alapszik. A kapillárisokon kívül a kisebb artériákban és vénákban is bekövetkezik hatására a tágulás, ami a vérkeringést előnyösen befolyásolja, mert meggyorsul a vénás vér szív felé történő áramlása. A masszázs közvetlen jó hatása elsősorban az izomzaton érvényesül. A fizikoterápia közvetlenül a masszázs helyiség mellett került elhelyezésre, 8 db különválasztott box kialakításával. Inger-, foto- és magnetoterápiás készülékkel (Myostim, Diadynamic, TENS, Pulsotron, Ner- vostát, infravörös- és quarckészülék, rövidhullám, mikrohullám, ultrahang, négyrekeszes galván- fürdő, vákuum interferátor) 1-2 képzett asszisztens végzi a kezelést. A fizikoterápia legtermészetesebb eszköze a szervezet védekező-, reagáló- és ellenállóképessége fokozásának, így a prevenció, a gyógyulás és a rehabilitáció feladatának megoldásában egyre nagyobb teret hódít. A Krioterápia (hideg levegősugár kezelés) egyenlőre a fizikoterápiás helyiségben történik. A hideg levegősugaras kezelés, más néven crioterápia, abból áll, hogy (néhány másodperctől néhány percig terjedő) rövid időre, 0 °C alá hűtött levegősugarat irányítunk egy bizonyos, jól körülhatárolt bőrfelületre. A Crio5 esetén a hideglevegő hőmérséklete megközelíti a -30 dC-ot. A gyulladáscsökkentő, fájdalomcsillapító és izomellazító hatásának köszönhetően, a crioterápia szerteágazó orvosi területen alkalmazható, melyek közül példaként megemlíthető a funkcionális rehabilitáció.
