Cultural events

Full information about folklore programmes, festive weeks, open- air performances and concerts, and night clubs with floor shows is given in the monthly “Programmes in Hungary”.

You can order tickets for major cultural events at IBUSZ representations (see addresses).

One of the most important cultural events, the Budapest Spring Festival is being organized from 16 to 25 March 1990. The Formula One heat will take place on 12 August 1990.

Museums

Hungarian museums and galleries are generally open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entrance fee is 5 to 20 Ft for adults, admission is free on one day, which varies from one museum to the other. The closing day is generally Monday.

Sports

CYCLING

There are no cycle paths in Hungary but features of the area are suitable for cycle tours.

Hiring: Certain railway stations of MÁV have hiring outlets for passengers who have travelled by rail or will do so after cycling. Information: at any MÁV railway station
