Cultural tourism Arts festivals Arts festivals carry a different quality than single cultural programs do. In their becoming a special occasion, the re-wording of public spaces and of the built environment, the expansion of cultural infrastructure has an important role. These programs are primarily built on the values and traditions of the heritage, and on contemporary arts values, and represent attraction both for domestic and foreign tourists. The Eger Spring Festival is a two-week long general arts festival, coloring the spring evenings of the visitors with classical and pop concerts, theatrical and puppet theater performances, monodrama festivals, exhibitions, and literary evenings. This festival is associated with the Budapest Spring Festival, so programs are organized at the same time with the programs in the capital, from the middle of March to the beginning of April.
