Eight opposition groups, uhich had earlier formed a Round Table co-^ordinated by the Independent Lawyers Fórum, have now held a conference and issued a comrnon statement. It says that in order to accept the invitation to the meeting certain conditions must be met: representatives of the eight organisations belonging to the Round Table must be present as negotiating partiés, the independent trade unions must act as observers and the negotiating parties must speak in succession and the statements made must be published by the Hungárián mass média. Participants in the Round Table believe that a preliminary draft of the agenda is necessary, and propose the following questions fór the debate:- The assurance that the conditions necessary fór democratic constitutional pro- gress are met.- A constitutional development which váll ensure the creation of conditions necessary fór free and democratic elections.- The validation of the plans and pledges of any agreements made during the meetings.- The Bos-Nagymaros investment debate. The statement alsó demanded that in future all information about the discussions should be sent to all the participants in the Opposition Round Table and in the Independent Lawyers Fórum which co-ordinates its activity. The statement issued on March 30th was submitted to the Hungárián Socialist Workers Party's Central Committee this aftemoon by the Independent Lawyers Fórum. It was alsó sent to the Hungárián News Agency in the hope that it would reach the public.
