Pálinkás reaá out the INCONNU group’s aeclaration which said that the grave Hungárián social crisis can only be resolved on the hasis of the 1956 programme and that the Opposition must renew itself in a democratic spirit. During the commemoration the videó "Glória Victis" vas shown, it was made by the INCONNU group using doc- umentary matériái and the anthology of poems about 56 with the same title; this was published on the same day by the "Hungárián October Free Press" and the "AB Indepen- dent Press". A long discussion followed in which about one hundred people took part, among them those who had been sentenced to long terms of imprisonment after the revolution - János Denes, Jenő Fonay, Imre Mécs, Elek Nagy, Tibor Pakh, Sándor Racz and the widows of Miklós Gimes and Pál Maleter who were executed, Aliz Halda and Judit Gyenes. During the conversation, about 9 pm, those present heard an amp- lified phone conversation about Tamás Molnár’s ( a member of the INCONNU group) London speech and György Krassó’s account of the commemorations in London. The meeting ended at 9.4-5 pm. Many of those who walked the Budapest streets on October 23rd wore national rosettes or Kossuth arms in their buttonholes. In Rákoskeresztúr cemet-ery many people Iáid flowers on the unmarked graves of the executed revolutionaries and ureaths were Iáid on the Batthyány-Imre Nagy sanctuary lamp.
