the session no one was silenced, nevertheless the proposal of Zsolt Keszthelyi, suggesting the court to bring the matter of the civilian service before the Council of Constitutional Law, has been rejected by the court unlawfully alluding to the lack of jurisdiction. When speaking by the privilege of the last word, Keszthelyi expressed doubts about the impartiality of the military court in a case when exactly the interests of the military oppose individual freedom rights and emphasized that international peace can only be preserved by the introduction of alternative civil service. The group of the Hungárián democratic opposition organized formerly by the name "Zsolt Keszthelyi Committee" issued in the afternoon of the day of the trial a manifolded leaflet protesting against the sentence, demanding the abolition of universal conscription and the introduction of "pacifist service", i.e. nursing and caretaking of the elderly. At the same time they called upon peace-loving and law-abiding people to raise their voices against the arbitrary detention of Zsolt Keszthelyi and his fellow sufferers.- 2 15)
