Both sides also have great need of tolerance for differing views, as well as the willingness to wait and let things work themselves out. Finally, and most important of all, the participants must reach the point where they are able to support and put into action everything which they recognize as valuable, irregardless of whether the initiative involved stems from the hierarchy or the base groups.
