328 Ölveti Gábor: Egyházak és iskolák Nyíradonyban... Az iskolaépítés éppúgy, mint a tanítók számának növekedése összefüggött a népesség és ezen belül az iskolakötelesek számának gyarapodásával. A község eseményei jól mutatják a közigazgatási szervezet tudatos törekvését a törvények által előírt tankötelesség végrehajtására, éppen a külterületi iskolák felállításával, a tantermek építésével és a szükséges tanítói állások megszervezésével. Ebben az iskolaépítésben, a kormányzati, az állami szakigazgatási, a megyei és helyi önkormányzatok éppúgy közreműködtek, mint az egyház, valamint az adott település lakossága. Churches and schools in Nyiradony in the period of 1900 and 1944 Gábor Ölveti The author surveys the relationships between the churches and schools over a limited semi-centennial period in its ethnical and religious multiculture. The territory was the part of Szabolcs county in district of Ligetalja, then it was connected to Hajdú-Bihar county, these counties were fused at the same time, in 1950.There were four religions in this time according to the number of the believers: Greek- and Roman catholic, Reformed and Israelitic congregations. The independent Reformed Congregation came into being in 1936. Niether the Reformed nor the Izraelites had their own school in the village. That is why, the Ministry of Religion and Education played a great part in how the religious tension could be solved, so that the payment of the primary school teachers became different by depending on what kind of congregation they belonged to. We get to know details on the education in the outskirts and the role of the latifundiums in working up the system of condition there.
