The Club abstained from active participation in political life, nevertheless, the over 2000-volume library, subscriptions to journals and periodicals prove how great an interest the members, in addition to self-education, took in the timely questions of national- and public life. Balls, dances and concerts were held to ensure the civilised entertainment of the members.

A thorough knowledge of the progressive spirit of the Reform- age Club can offer a good example for the widening civic sphere of our days on how efforts can be made for the benefit of the city and its public life.
