Verancsics Antal győri irathagyatéka 333 mű hagyományozódásának kutatásához minden bizonnyal nélkülözhetetlen lesz, a levelek pedig a tudós főpap életéről, politikai és egyházkormányzati ténykedéséről informálnak. Summary Manuscripts from Antal Verancsics in Győr Antal Verancsics was one of the most prominent prelates and humanist scholars in 16th century Hungary. On his death his manuscripts were scattered. They were partly procured by Ferenc Széchényi, who established the Hungarian National Library and partly by Miklós Jankovich, a famous collector. The so-called „Lettersbook of Győr” had different destiny: Zsigmond Deáky canon gave it to the Seminary’s Library in Győr. The manuscripts, which are presently kept at the Chapter’s Archives, were probably got there with this book. The collection contains minutes of letters, a manuscript of De conflictu Hungarorum cum Turds ad Mohacz verissima descriptio by István Brodarics, a biography of Orbán Batthyány unknown to-day and a horoscope.
