The crown is thickened on the lingual side, under the incisor. The margin of enamel rises only slightly under the protoconid to occlusal direction on the buccal side. Mandible — The length of the mandible varies around the smallest values, measured in Panthera onca. The fossa masseterica does not reach below the paraconid of Mi. The diastema is extremely short and arched. One foramen mentale can be recognized unambiguously under P3. The symphysis mandibulae lines with the end of the diastema in occlusal view. The height of corpus mandibulae in front of the diastema equals with the height measured behind the Mi. Table 8 — Measurements of mandible of Panthera onca gombaszoegensis. Its mesial edge is straight. The protoconid is strongly developed, rises over the paraconid. The teeth have slight cingula on their distal sides, exept in specimen V 24062, where cingulum Occurrence — Püspökfürdő/Betfia, Gombaszög/ Gombasek, Vértesszőlős II, Kövesvárad, Uppony I. P 4 — The degree of the constriction between the protocone and parastyle is greater (in occlusal view) than in "gombas^oegensii '. The protocone is medium developed. The crest ninning from paracone to protocone is well developed. The paracone is strongly developed. The metacone is developed too, but the metastyle rises over the metacone. The parastyle is strongly developed. The preparastyle, where this cone is present, is slighdy developed. In the specimen from Solymár the preparastyle is developed more than in that from Vértesszőlős. The crown is thickened strongly of the buccal side. The margin of enamel rises gradually toward the metastyle on the palatal side. Table 9 — Measurements of P 4 of Panthera leo fossilis.
