22 K< the first time. The anteroconid-metaconid complex is bean shaped and lacks enamel lakes. The mesolophid and entoconid are closed lingually and form a single enamel lake. Age Category 4 — The crown height is one half of the maximum, with the roots still well developed. The anteroconid-metaconid complex is joined buccally with the protoconid. An enamel lake is formed by the closed mesolophid, and the entoconid is more separated than in Category 3. The enamel thickness of the occlusal surface has become greater than in the previous wear stages. Age Category 5 — The crown is very low and appears brachyodont in its morphology. The roots are well developed and the molar margin forms a continuous, thick enamel ring. Age Category 6 — Two large enamel lakes are developed: one anteriorly (lingual mesosinid-mesolophidentoconid complex), and another posteriorly (trough separation of the posterosinid). The other molars are grouped into these age categories based on similar characteristics and with the help of specimens which can be matched by their occlusion. The age category distribution of the total Anomalomys rudabanyensis assemblage of Rudabánya is as follows: Category 1: 21%, Category 2: 21%, Category 3: 21%, Category 4: 14%; Category 5: 14%, Category 6: 9%. Thus, in the samples from Rudabánya localities the young and subadult specimens predominate.
