the protoloph, the metaloph and the posteroloph. The anterolophe is cut up into 2 or 3 pieces. There are one or two central ridges between the protoloph. and the metaloph. Extra ridge is not found between the metaloph and the posteroloph. Table 1 — Data of Miodyromys sp. P 4 molars from Sámsonháza. — Abbreviations: L - length; W = width. no. The constant elements of the concave occlusal surface are the anteroloph, the protoloph, the anterior andthe posterior centrolophs, the metaloph and the posteroloph. The anteroloph-protoloph connection in the paracone is found in 7 specimens. The anterior extra ridge is very frequent, but the posterior extra ridge is rare. The lingual connection of the centrolophs is rare. The buccal connection of the posterior centroloph and the metaloph is frequent. The majority (82 %) of the molars (Figure 9) refers to the "muster 2" morphotype of MAYR (1979). The most important differences are the following: larger measurements, more frequent lingual connection of the centrolophs, more frequent presence of the posterior extra ridge. The majority (58 %) of the molars (Figure 9) refers to the "muster 4" morphotype of MAYR (1979). Table 3 — Data of Miodyromys aff. aegercii.
