Description: 3.2 cm long, 0.8 cm wide middle lobe of the winged fruit of Paleocarya. Thin, characteristic venation is well visible. Discussion: The fruits of Paleocarya are well known from the European Tertiary floras. In Hungary they appear in the Early Oligocène. Their distribution in the Egerian is irregular: in some localities they are absent, in others (e.g. locality Csörög) they are dominant. Ulmaceae Ulmus L.
