Family PSALIDOCRINIDAE Z-ITT, 1978 emend. MANNI et NICOSIA, 1987 Genus Psalidocrinus REMES, 1913 Type species: Psalidocrinus remesi BOTHER, 1913 Diagnosis: Wide cups with high, coalescing interradial projections forming a vault above the ventral cavity. Wide, subhorizontal radial facets of eugeniacrinitidtype. Dorsal side completely occupied by a small articular surface for the stem. Remarks: Five species of the genus are known from the Tithonian deposits of Czechoslovakia, Italy, Austria, and Crimea. Psalidocrinus sp. Pl. II, Fig. 4; Text-fig. 7 Description: Large, cone-shaped cups, pentagonal in outline, with five RR and moderately high interradial projections. External surface smooth with clearly visible sutures between the RR. RR high and slightly convex dorsally. Radial facets wide, large, outward sloping, characterized by two articular surfaces: one aboral and one adorai. Aboral surface crescent-shaped and outward sloping, having a wide ligament fossa with a small and deep ligament pit. Adorai surface subvertical, characterized by two muscle fossae separated by a radial groove.
