Monticlarella lineolata Phillips - SMIRNOVA, p. 24, pl. 1, Fig. 3 Material : 1 brachial valve from the Eperkés-hegy. Dimensions (mm) : L 11; W 8. 6 Description : The elongated triangular valve is evenly but slightly convex, rather flat. Maximum thickness is at the mid-length of the shell. Maximum width is at the anterior third. The lateral comissure is slightly arched, the anterior one is gently uniplicate. Folding affects only the anterior 2 mm of the valve. The surface of the shell is quite smooth. The fibrous shell structure, characteristic of Rhynchonellida can be observed. Remarks : The poor material does not allow accurate description and determination. In addition, the original description has not been available for me and I have not seen the type specimen. However, this brachial valve agrees with the one described and figured by JACOB and FALLOT (1913). On the other hand, it differs markedly from the figures in PICTET in size, shape and convexity of the shell. They agree in the peculiarly folded anterior margin and the ventrally depressed form. My specimen differs from Monticlarella nova (KARAKASCH, 190 7) in being folded also in the middle of the anterior margin. Monticlarella aff. decipiens (d'Orbigny, 1847) (Plate I: 3-4) Material : 2 pedicle valves from the Eperkés-hegy. Dimensions (mm): L 14. 6 W 13 T 14. 8 13.8 14 14 Description : The valve is triangular or pentagonal in ventral view, with triangular posterior and trapezoidal anterior parts. The smooth and slightly convex surface of the valve is strongly convex in the anterior third. Maximum width corresponds to the mid-line. The sub-erect umbo is narrow and pointed. There are two small ridges originating from the umbo, and soon vanishing. The lateral comissure is strongly arched ventralwards and, in the anterior third, dorsalwards. There is a shallow, hardly visible sulcus on the anterior third of the valve. The anterior margin is deeply, rectangularly uniplicate. Remarks : The material is poor and incomplete. Though this form is near to Rhyncho nella decipiens (d'Orbigny, 1847), it is more depressed and the plica is rectangular. For exact determination and description, more and better specimens would be needed. Monticlarella sp. (Plate I: 5-8) Material: 5 complete specimens and 5 brachial valves from the Bocskor-hegy. Dimensions (mm): L 7 5 W 7. 2 6. 3 1 cm Fig. 2 Monticlarella sp. lateral view; b= anterior view T 4. 7 3. 9 Description : The shell is circular or pentagonal in outline. The width exceeds the length. The maximum width is at the middle or somewhat anterior of the mid-length. The maximum thickness is at the mid-length or at the posterior third of the shell. The pedicle valve is convex near the umbo, and has a widening and deepening sulcus from the middle of the valve towards the anterior. The umbo is straight to suberect, short and pointed. The hypothyrid foramen is very small and rounded. The deltidial plates are well visible. Beak ridges can also be observed. The brachial valve is
