After examining some 70% of the new finds of appr. one thousand, the author came to the conclusion that they belong to the conclusion that they belong to the Cricetus kormosi SCHAUB, 1930 s.l. group. Therefore the present paper gives only a brief outline concerning the structure of the teeth of this taxon. Description: Mi - The elongated anteroconid is undivided, bifid or divided into three parts, respectively. No lingual or labial epiphysis could be found. No islands exist among the cones. The mesolophid may be short or long in size, or it is missing. Cingulum could be found only on the labial side, while on the lingual side it is missing. The cones are eroded on the front surface. Mg - The anterolophid is asymmetrical, and the lingual part is reduced. The mesolophid is of varied length. The erosion surface starts on the labial side of the cones. Mg - No island is present among the cones. The mesolophid is reduced. In size it is the same, or somewhat larger than the Mg. M* - The anterocone is bifid but the two cusps are only slightly divided. The labial epiphysis is generally present and it is long. There are islands among the cones. The mesoloph is long. On the lingual margin there is a weak cingulum among the cones. M 2 - Islands are present among the cones. The always present mesolophs are generally long. M - It is a strongly reduced tooth. Two anterior cones are developed with an island between them. The mesoloph, if there is any, is extremely short. The sinuses on both the lingual and labial side are open. The closing cingulum is interrupted in the middle, and the posterior island is often opened up because of this phenomenon. Cricetus sp. From the Ivanovce locality described by FEJFAR (1970). M"", 4 specimens M 2 , 2 specimens M 3 deposited under inv. no. V. 75. 4. in the Paleontological Department of the Hunts garian Natural History Museum (Budapest). Description: Mi - From the undivided enteroconid two, sometimes three, underdeveloped anterolophids start towards the proto- and metaconids. The mesolophid is long. The lateral and closing cingula are strong. No island exists among the cones. Mg - A tooth of simple structure with long mesolophid. Islands among the cones could be found only in 50% of the cases. Mg - A tooth of intricate structure where the ridge systems enclose three islands in the middle part of the tooth. The lingual cingulum is stronger than that of the labial part. M* - The anterocone is divided. Both the labial epiphysis and the mesoloph are long. There is an island between the proto- and paracone. The hypo- and metacones are not directly connected. The posteroloph is connected with the metacone at the external posterior corner.
