LOEBLICH & TAPPAN (1957) described this species from the Paleo­cene of different formations in the Gulf and Atlantic Coastal Plain. G. pseudomenardii was recorded by BOLLI & CITA (i960) from the upper Montian of the Paderno d'Adda section in northern Italy. HILLEBRANDT (1962) found this species from the Landenian of the Basin of Reichenhall and Salzburg, Austria. In Egypt, NAKKADY (1959) described and figured this species from the Danian of the Kharga Oasis, Western Desert. SAID & KERDANY (l96l) recorded this species from the Esna Shale (Landenian) of the Parafra Oasis, Western Desert. This species characterizes the G. pseudomenardii zone of Gebel Awe ina Nile Valley (SAID & SABRY, 1964). Recently, EL NAGGAR described G. pseudomenar dii from the lower upper Paleocene (basal of the G. velascoensis zone, is Esna Id­fu region, Nile Valley. Globorotalia pseudoscitula GLAESSNER (pl.
