In Nile Valley, SAID (i960) identified this species from the Paleocene and lower Eocene of Luxor section. SAID & SABRY (1964) found this species in the Danian samples of Gebel Awe ina section, near Esna. EL NAGGAR (1966) described this species from the whole Paleoce­ne samples, in the Esna-Idfu region. Globigerina triviális SUBBOTINA (pl. I, fig. 4; pl. VIII, fig. 10.) 1953 Globigerina triviális SUBBOTINA sp.n. - SUBBOTINA, p. 64, pi. 4, figs. 4-8. Description; Test medium, compact, trochospiral , composed of 2 rj- whorls. The final whorl composed of 3 i chambers. Chambers spherical, overlaping each other especially the penultimate ones. Equatorial periphery distinctly lobate, axial periphery rounded. Wall coarsely perforate, pitted. Sutures strongly de­pressed, slightly curved on both the dorsal and ventral sides. Umbilicus very narrow,rather indistinct. Aperture arcuate,slit like along the marginal suture. Diameter: 0,37 mm Occurrence ; G. triviális abundantly occurs in the Danian sample no. 10 in Taramsa section. Stratigraphie range: G. triviális was first described by SUBBO­TINA (1953) from the Maestrichtian and Danian In northern Cau­casus, U.S.S.R. Remarks: Some authors considered G. trivial is SUBBOTINA as a synonym to G. triloc n linoides PLUMMER (HILLEBRANDT 1962 and EL NAGGAR I960). However in the opinion of the present author the
