On one specimen (Table V. 29 a-c) there is a supple­mentary aperture on the dorsal side of the last chamber. A si­milar case was reported by Berggren (1959) concerning Globige­rina angiporoides from the Upper Rupelian. Occurrence. Common in the Cylindroclavulina cylin­drica Zone of the Buda Marl. Disappears at the base of the Eo­cene/Oligocene transition. Budapest region, Bükk Mountains fo­reland. Test of small to medium size. Two whorls. Eive chambers in the first whorl, four in the second. Dorsal surface flat, or compressed; the ventral one rather con­vex. Chambers tightly coiled, inflated. Sutured depressed,right , radial. Umbilicus very small. Aperture is a low arch, from rim to umbilicus, with a big, flap—like lip. Test wall coarsely perforated. Occurrence. It is present in all horizons of the Bu­da Marl in both regions. Very abundant in some samples.
