h century goldsmiths worked in Révkomárom. János Kiss has recorded his autobiography, itinerary of his peregrination, names of his masters and all the implements he has bought. The note-book contains several literary texts. Books of the Old Testament, geography and administration of Hungary, all in catechetical form presumably served tuitional purposes. There are Calvinist hymns and prayers which belonged to the common poetry pf the late eighteenth century. 177
