O. Merkl szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 68. (Budapest, 2007)
MATERIAL AND METHODS Records of Albanian dragonflies were collected during expeditions of the Hungarian Natural History Museum held in the period 2002-2006. The main objectives of these expeditions were collecting Plecoptera, Gastropoda and soil organisms. Dragonflies were only caught occasionally. This was done using a butterfly net and water net. Most of the visited habitats are running waters such as rivers, brooks and springs (Fig. 1). We tried to visit all parts of the country during various periods of the year. For the identification of specimens we used ASKEW ( 1988), for Pyrrhosoma the paper of KALKMAN & LOPAU (2006), for Onychogomphus the paper of BOUDOT et al. (1990) and for Somatochlora that of SCHNEIDER (1986). The material is stored in 70% ethanol and deposited in the Collection of Smaller Insect Orders, Department of Zoology, Hungarian Natural History Museum (Budapest). Localities are listed according the drainage systems they belong to. Of each locality the UTM-coordinate, the latitude/longitude in degrees and decimal degrees, date, locality number used during the collectings and name of the collectors are given. Additional information on localities visited in 2002 and 2003 can be found in FEHÉR et al. (2004). Fig. 1. Collecting sites of Odonata in Albania. See List of localities in the text
