Schroederella media sp. n. (Figs 6-10) Type material - Holotype male (HNHM): Kunhegyes (Sz 175), 1979. IX. 18-25., leg. DARVAS B. Paratypes: 3 males, 5 females (HNHM): same as for holotype. Freshly emerged specimens, 2 males and 3 females with herniate ptilinal sack. The type specimens were collected on wheat fields and so we presume that they were emerged from small rodents' nests. Description - Measurements (in mm): body length 5.0 (holotype), 4.4-6.1 (paratypes, one of them with abdomen and genitalia prepared and kept in a plastic microvial with glycerol), wing length 4.95 (holotype), 4.34-6.0 (paratypes), wing breadth 1.54, 1.52-2.04. Most of its body characteristics are the same as in S. minuta PAPP et CARLES-TOLRÁ, 1994. Vertex and occiput grey, postgena yellowish grey, frons dirty yellow, gena and facial plate reddish grey inch antennái foveae; peristomal area with thin white microtomentum. Anterior ors 3/5-2/3 length of the posterior one. A distinct pair of inclinate inner occipital setae present slightly mesal to inner verticals. Peristomial setae in 2 rows posteriorly. Height of eye/genal width below eye: 0.61 mm/0.36 mm. Facial carina broad, yellowish grey and 0.5-0.65 mm long. Longest "beard" setae (long setae caudally behind edge of mouth opening) 0.385 mm (holotype male), viz. 0.42 mm (paratype female); that is 0.26 mm on the holotype of S. minuta. Antennae with scape and pedicel dirty reddish, first flagellomere dark grey. Clypeus dark, narrow, only 0.3-0.35 mm long. Palpi yellow with a moderately long (0.15-0.18 mm) subapical seta, 3 lateral setae: a similar seta at apical 1/3 and other 2 shorter setae in basal half; all shorter palpal bristles ventrally (laterally) directed. Thorax dark grey with thin, darker brown dorsocentral vittae, similar to S. minuta. Two pairs of very long posterior katepisternals, anterior katepisternal seta as long as posterior one. Prescutellar seta 0.42 mm long on holotype but in variable length on paratypes (only 0.24 mm on a paratype female). Anepisternum anteriorly (below stigma) with some setae, longest one 0.19 mm on holotype but not shorter than 0.12 mm (paratypes); that is only 0.05 mm long on S. minuta. Wings brownish, veins light brown. Terminal section of m vein 1.46 mm, intercrossvein section 1.10 mm (holotype). Costal setae 0.15-0.18 mm long. Legs. Knees, mid and hind tibia, base fore tibia, as well as mid and hind basitarsi yellowish grey, legs otherwise darker grey. Hind femur with only 1 dorsal bristle in distal quarter (there is only one male paratype of the nine individuals with 2 such dorsal setae). A posteroventral row on hind femur of medium long and thick setae. Hind femoral bare area on medial surface comparative small: from basal 0.10 mm to 0.82 mm (i.e. 0.72 mm long) on the 1.63 m long femur. Abdomen largely cylindrical and longer than head plus thorax. Abdominal tergites grey, marginal bristles much shorter than tergites. Male genitalia rather small (for comparison to S. minuta, see Fig. 9). Epandrium (Fig. 6) rather globular with sparse thick setae. Cerci (Fig. 6) very large, almost as long as height of epandrium, with numerous long setae (no thicker one apically). Subepandrial process narrow, gradually tapering towards apex, not broadened subapically (cf. PAPP & CARLES-TOLRÁ 1994: fig. 25 for S. minuta) with thick black setae on its medial (inner) side. Surstylus (Figs 6-7) digitiform with a definite dorso-caudal basal process. That surstylar process bears several thick and pointed setae, apical part of surstylus with dense short thorns (prensisetae). Paramere (Fig. 8) similar to that of S. minuta (cf. PAPP & CARLES-TOLRÁ 1994: fig. 26) but incision deeper, so ventral process longer and thinner, apical bristle of dorsal process somewhat
