apodeme, when he depicted the male genitalia. After all, I think, based on the similarity in the shape and armature of gonopod, that these two species are related. I found no closely related species from Mongolia (cf. SoÓS 1977). Trixoscelis margo sp. n. (Figs 21-24) Type material - Holotype male (HNHM): Nagykovácsi, Julia-major - hálózás [sweeping net], 1982. STIEBER J., "Tr. margi- S nella Fall.", det. SOÓS, 1976.; 1 female: Pécs THALHAMM., "VI 8", "Geomyza marginella Fil." coll. THALHAM. - "Tr. margi- $ nella Fall." det. SoÓS, 1976. Description - Measurements (in mm): body length 2.97 (holotype), 2.75-3.30 (paratypes), wing length 2.57 (holotype), 2.45-2.80 (paratypes), wing breadth 0.95 (holotype), 0.93-0.99 (paratypes). Most of its body characteristics are the same as in T. marginella (MEIGEN, 1823). Face and genae greyish yellow with thick whitish microtomentum. Occiput and postgena light grey. Orbits and ocellar triangle grey with whitish microtomentum. Frons otherwise darker greyish yellow. Gena broader, distance between anterior pm-s and eye margin definitely broader than width of l sl flagellomere. Scape and pedicel greyish yellow. Colour of first flagellomere various: lateral surface mostly with an oblique broad dark brown stripe from dorsal apex to ventral base (in cases all apical part dark), medial surface with a dark central spot (in cases all medial apical part dark). Ari s ta 1 hairs up to 0.04 mm, hairs on first flagellomere 0.05 mm. Thorax grey, mesonotum with a pair of brown stripes medially to dc-s, distally down to apical scutellar setae. A faint sagittal brown stripe present distally to middle de pair, plus a short lateral stripe towards the presutural seta. Pleurae with a broad brown stripe from postpronotum to the greater ampulla. Acmi more numerous, continued to be four-serial behind the middle dc pair. Prescutellar acrostichal macrochaeta, and all chaetotaxy otherwise as in T. marginella. Wing pattern as in T. marginella: basic colour rather dark brown, discal cell plus two cell above partly lighter, upper 2/3 of discal cell except for dM-Cu area. Also m and r 4+5 cells with a light spot each distally to the dM-Cu area. Veins brown, except for basal half of vein M and cross-vein R-M, latters yellow or light brown. Strong black fringe on whole costal section between radial veins R :+ , and R 4+5 . Costal thorns well developed: 0.13 mm long at break, 0.10-0.11 mm long more distally. Intracrossvein section slightly shorter than the ultimate section. Ultimate section of medial vein wavily bent. Medial vein ratio (ultimate / intracrossvein section) 1.19 (holotype), 1.25, 1.28 (paratype males), 1.11, 1.12, 1.21 (paratype females); this is much less than in T. marginella. Range of medial vein index in T. marginella: 1.48-1.52 (males), 1.49-1.55 (females). Anal vein longer, arched, clearly discernible.
