MEINANDER'S grouping (MEINANDER 1972, 1981). On the other hand, C. dominicana MEINANDER, 1974, which represented a separate monotypic group of this subgenus in the latter grouping, probably belongs to the subgenus Scotoconiopteryx MEINANDER, 1972 together with C. gordica MEINANDER, 1983, on the basis of the structure of male genitalia. (Anterior part of hypandrium and gonarcus are not separated clearly; moreover, the structure of the paramere (Figs 33-34) entirely differs from that of the subgenus Coniopteryx s.str., and similar to the paramere of some species in the subgenus Scotoconiopteryx.)
