Lectotype female with following labels: small, grey, triangular label; square white label with the number "8"; pink label "Lectotype Zoologische Staatssammlg. München, Bellido & Pujade-Villar design. 2000"; white label "Andricus kollari Hartig, Bellido & Pujade-Villar det. 2000". Three asex­ual female paralectotypes. One female with a square, white label with the number "19", and another with a small, grey, triangular label, and all with the pink label "Paralectotype Staatssammlg. München" and a white label "Andricus kollari Hartig, Bellido & Pujade-Villar det. 2000". Material examined - From Austria, Italy (Sicily), and Northern France: in the collection of the NHMW, Vienna - 46 asexual females and 1 gall labelled as "Cynips tinctoria" det. by Mayr, Ruschka, Handlirsch, Kolazy and Low; 56 asexual females and 6 galls labelled as "Cynips kollari" det. by Mayr, Ruschka, Handlirsch, Kolazy, Low and Fahringer. In the collection of the MNHN, Paris - 2 asexual females labelled as "Cynips indigena" from Giraud's coll.; 2 asexual females la­belled as "Cynips gallaetinctoriae" det. by Costa; 4 asexual females labelled as "Cynips tinctoriae" from Granger coll. In the collection of the ZSMC, Munich - 2 asexual females labelled as "Cynips kollari" from Mayr and Rhd. coll.; 1 asexual female labelled as "Cynips tinctoriae". In the collection of the UB, Barcelona - 25 asexual females and 6 galls labelled as "Andricus kollari" from Barbotin coll. In the collection of the HNHM, Budapest, from Gy. Méhes is collections there are 35 specimens (examined by GM), collected from different localities in Hungary, from different oak species; in the collection of SPL, Kőszeg: 8 females collected in Ukraine, Transcarpathian region, from Q. robur, 1 female labelled "Romania, Valea Saduluj, Q. robur. 10.05.1994. leg. G. Melika"; 77 asexual females and about three hundred galls, collected by G. Melika, Gy. Csóka, R. Bailey from different parts of Hungary, from Quercus petraea, Q. pubescens and Q. robur.
